The Chequamegon Boys Basketball team defeated Bruce Saturday night, 73-61, in a game that was played at the Glidden gymnasium.
Cooper Michalski scored 27 points to lead the way for Chequamegon
Marcus Purdy added, Jarrett Heckendorf with12, Mason Paholke scored 8, and Mason Schrader chipped in with 5 points
“We had a great night of basketball in Glidden on Saturday. I am very proud of our boys for playing hard and rebounding very well in the second half”, commented Chequamegon Coach Thomas Tollakson.
Chequamegon opened up a 30 points lead midway through the 2nd half, before Bruce closed the gap in the final 9 minutes.
