Butternut girls opened their season on the road at Tomahawk. The young Midget squad got off to a shaky start trailing midway through the first half, but the settled down to take a 21-17 lead at half. The second half was back and forth until Tomahawk took the lead for good later in the half to pull away for a 42-35 win.
We played young and tentative for stretches, better in other stretches. Sloppy passing and poor free throw shooting or we are right where we want to be.
Kendra Pritzl led the way for Butternut with 16 points. Caitlynn Bebeau with 8 points and 5 rebounds, Gianna Nahring added 5 points and 8 rebounds.

Butternut (0-1) is off until Dec 6 when they open conference play at Hurley
