Butternut Girls BB defeats Solon Springs

Butternut traveled to Solon Springs on Monday and after a week lay off took some time to shake off the rust, but a nice run to close out the half saw them with a 41-25 lead. They pushed the lead over 20 early in the second half and then spread some minutes around as they held on for a 61-49 win.
Jersey Polencheck and Kendra Pritzl led the way with 16 each, Pritzl adding 15 rebounds. Izzy Przybylski connected on 4 threes for 12 points and Caitlynn Bebeau added 9. Kaycie Scherwinski pulled down 7 rebounds.
Butternut improves to 9-3 in Conference and 13-4 overall. They will host Mercer tonight at 5:45 in a DH with the boys, and then host South Shore on Thursday.
