Arthur R. Dunham, 83, of Park Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 12, 2026, at Lakeview Specialty Hospital in Waterford, WI.
Arthur was born on April 28, 1942, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to Walter Cletus and Kathryn Anna (Wulf) Dunham. He spent his early years in Jefferson before moving to the Park Falls area in March of 1965 for work, a place he would call home for the rest of his life.
Art was a dedicated and thoughtful man who pursued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He went on to build a long career as a chemist at Flambeau Papers, where his steady work and analytical mind were well respected.
Beyond his profession, Art was a man of many interests and quiet contributions. He had a passion for ham radio and also worked as a radio station engineer, combining his technical skills with a love for communication. He was actively involved in his community and church, serving on the Board of Trustees and Board of Elders. He also generously supported the local high school band, often helping with trips and activities.
Art found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He formerly enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, skiing in younger days, and followed Wisconsin sports to the end. Above all, he valued time spent with family and friends. He prioritized his nieces and nephews by rarely missing special events in their lives.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Greg) Brown; six nieces and nephews; Tim (Therese) Schroeder, Mike Dunham, Lori (Jeff) Johnson, Chuck (Brenda) Dunham, Kris (Kory) Scholze, and Jodi Dunham; step-niece Holly (Keith Lehman) Brown; step-nephew Joel Brown; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Kathryn Dunham; and his siblings, Patricia Schroeder, Ron Dunham, and Bob Dunham.
