Butternut girls travelled to Hurley looking to avenge an early season 44-40 loss. The game started out eerily similar to that first game as Hurley controlled the tempo and dominated the boards in the first half to take a 20-17 halftime lead. Butternut got there game going a bit in the second half to eventually gain a 39-36 lead late, but Hurley executed better the last few minutes to sneak away with a 43-41 win.
Jersey Polencheck led all scorers with 26 points, she added 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kendra Pritzl had 6 points and 11 rebounds. Caitlynn Bebeau with 6 points. Kaycie Scherwinski with 7 rebounds. Jaana Aukee and Sydney Saari led the Northstars with 15 and 13 points.
Butternut drops to 6-3 in conference and 10-4 overall and will host LCO on Thursday at 7:00.
