Logger Volleyball Takes 2nd at Marathon Invite

The Logger Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Marathon on Saturday for the annual Marathon invitational. The Loggers lost the championship game to Marathon 1-2 (25-22, 19-25, 3-15). The Loggers outlasted a strong Stratford team in the semi final match 2-1 (25-20, 11-25, 15-9). Pool play saw the Phillips team defeat both Thorp and Three Lakes 2-0, and drop their final match to Marathon 0-2.
The Loggers were led by Mataya Eckert in attack kills, Lily Miller in assists and Layla Staroba in digs.
The Loggers now travel to Northland Pines for a Quad today. (Tuesday, Sept. 3) The Loggers play Three Lakes at 430, Northland Pines at 530 and Florence at 630.
