Butternut MSGBB teams hosted Ashland on Thursday looking to continue their winning streaks.

The JV led early on, but were outscored in both the 3rd and 4th quarters as Ashlond snuck away with a 20-16 win.  Ashland got a little more physical in the 2nd half, and the Midgets became tentative on both ends of the floor as the Oredockers came from behind for the win. Khloe Radlinger and Bailey Pritzl both each had 4 points for the Midgets.

The 8th grade team put on a defensive clinic in the first half and really started to look for each other on the offensive end as they raced out to a 21-6 half time lead.  They focused more on the slow down game in the second half and came away with a 27-6 win.  Gianna Nahring did a great job of hawking on defense and distributing the ball on offense as she led with 10 points and a number of assists.  Olivia Hamann had some great passes in transition and feeding inside.  Brooklyn Treml chipped in with 9 and double digit rebounds and block shots.  “It was the most aggressive and working together as a team on both ends of the floor as I’ve seen in a while.  I’m very proud of what we are doing right now.  Fun to watch.”
