Karen Kay Godlewski, age 70, of Park Falls, passed away peacefully at her home on April 25, 2026.
Karen was born on December 10, 1955, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, to Ervin and Edna () Thoms
On April 11, 1981, she married John Godlewski. Together they built a life rooted in family and hard work. Karen worked over the years at Phillips Plastics, the Pal Café, and also contributed her time and talents in many ways—creating artwork for the school, serving as a nurse’s aid at Park Manor, helping with the Boy Scouts, and sewing for Micro’s. She was known as a talented crafter, a creative and resourceful woman who could make something meaningful out of almost anything. She had a heart for giving and cared for all those entrusted to her, including her pets.
Above all, Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a steady, caring presence and a practical wisdom that grounded those around her.
She is survived by her three children: Jessica (Wayne) Schuett, Matthew Godlewski, and Jacqueline Godlewski; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gary (Debbie) Thoms, Ervin Jr. Thoms, and her sister Carol Walker, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Godlewski; brother Lowell Thoms, sister Nancy Koch, sisters-in-law Marilyn Thoms, and Jan Thoms, and brother-in-law, Bill Walker.
