Caryl M. Johnson, 72 passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 21, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Clinic in Marshfield, WI.

She was born on February 15, 1954, in Ontonagon, MI, the daughter of Claude and June Sandy.

Caryl was united in marriage to Ronald Johnson on March 20, 1971. Together they raised four children.

Caryl was a long-time resident of Greenland, MI, She worked as a produce manager for Holiday, Fraki’s and Pat’s Foods. Caryl enjoyed her family and adventures with them. She enjoyed fishing and was known to catch Ron throwing worms over the boat to shorten the fishing adventure when he was ready to go and she wasn’t. It didn’t matter what she was catching, just as long as she was catching. Camping and sitting around a good camp fire, Caryl always had to have that one S’more.

Slot machines, weekend getaway casino trips and spending time at home always made her happy. Caryl enjoyed talking about how she and her childhood friend Rosalee would walk to Twin Lakes. That’s how she met her husband, Ron. Caryl and Ron would drive along listening to the oldies and when the mood struck them, they would pull over and dance on the side of the road.

Caryl is survived by her husband Ron, children Todd (Chris) Johnson, Angela (Tom) Johnson, Troy (Jess) Johnson and Ashley (Jeremy) Boldt grandchildren Tiffani (Nick), Farryne (Justin), Hunter, Austin, Gavin, Cannon, Austin, Kalib, Logan and Logan, greatgrandchildren Teghan, Nevaeh, Owen, Kaden, Taitum, Jayden, Finley Walker and Ivan, Brothers Joseph Sandy and Richard (Lisa) Sandy, sister Kathy (Harold) Clark, in-laws John (Ruth) Johson, Terri (Scott) Holman and Shirley Huhta as well as her fur baby dog Busch.
