Lois M Murray, 98, Ontonagon

Lois M. Murray, 98, passed away peacefully at home in Ontonagon on April 7, 2026.
Lois shared 60 years with her husband John. She was a skilled artist, cook and baker
and loved sharing her creations with her friends and family. Lois worked as a registered
nurse in Chicago, a med/surgical nurse and ER nurse and a nurse at Ontonagon
Memorial Hospital and Long-Term Care. She loved her nursing.
Lois loved the family cabin home along Lake Superior and all the memories of the times
past.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband John and her daughters Leslie and Wendy.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Murray, several nieces and nephews and her
dog Geordie.
Per Lois’ wishes, there will be no service and a private burial will commence at a future
date.
Memorials may be made to Ontonagon County Cancer Association or OCAP.
Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
