Happy Friday (the 13th)! Here’s a bit of what we did this week on the show.

  1. Music! Lot’s of great music!
  2. Scientists in Mexico are concerned a natural disaster could be coming our way, after a pair of 40-foot-long Oarfish washed up on shore. Oarfish, nicknamed the “doomsday fish” usually live 3-thousand feet under water, and seeing one is a sign of an impending disaster, like an earthquake or tsunami. (I’m not sure about a disaster coming but bad news for the fish they were featured on the Friday night fish fry!)
  3. Some grocery stores in California are now “suggesting” you leave a tip when you purchase your groceries. (I’ll be doing the same on our website, so you can leave a tip after you hear an “amazing” show. I’m sure that won’t happen very often)
  4. One out of three adults say they’re influenced by horoscopes, and base a lot of their life choices on them including financial decisions. (I don’t believe in horoscopes. Now, the ‘fortunes’ in fortune cookies, those are real!)
  5. A snow storm is on the way for this weekend, but Spring officially starts on March 20th! (I’m ready! I’m already wearing shorts when I golf…on my Playstation)
  6. The average American family washes 8 to 10 loads of laundry a week. (and if you have kids, 2 to 3 of those loads are probably found under their beds!)

Thanks for listening, have a great weekend and we’ll meet on the radio next week!

Mike McKay
Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
