Roger William Boeck, age 86, of Butternut, passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026, at Park Manor Nursing Home.  Roger was born on May 8, 1939, in Milwaukee, the son of Dorohty and Julius Boeck.  He served his country in the United States Airforce.   He married his former wife, Patsy.  He later married the love of his life, Barbara Engel, on July 26, 1980.    He spent most of his life in northern Wisconsin.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His love for animals showed through many critters in his yard (chickens, ducks, turkey, cats, dogs, and sheep). 

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 45 years, his children: Theresa (Will Wharton) Dries, Steve (Cindy) Boeck, Cindy (Jim) Martin, and daughter-in-law Renee Boeck, his step-children: Karren (Rolf) Balzar, Tim (Sherry) Engel, James (Maria) Engel, Connie (Jeff) Martinovich, and many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother-in-law John Heiden, sisters-in-law Bonita Salm  and Liz Jonovic.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Julius Boeck and Dorothy Steinhagen, his stepparents Alice Boeck and William Steinhagen, his son Michael Boeck, his brother Don (Betty) Boeck, sisters: Arlene Heiden and Mary Ann (Bill) Schreiner.

Roger will be remembered for his gentle nature with animals, his love for his wife, and ability to make beautiful things out of wood.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls at 11:00am.  Rev. Samual Morsching will officiate.  Military honors will follow under the auspices of the Fifield American Legion Post.

A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.

Please join the family in the Church Gathering Hall downstairs immediately following the service.

Interment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery at a later date.
