JoAnn Marie Gehrman
June 10, 1929-November 20, 2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Mom, the Lord
has taken you Home!
Mom was born on June 10, 1929, to Fred and Adeline Steiger. Along with her brother
John (Jack) she spent her youth in Park Falls. As a matter of fact, other than attending
Caroll College and a brief stint teaching in Escanaba, she spent her entire life living on
3 rd Avenue.
On February 14, 1953, she married Robert Rienow Gehrman and shortly after they
moved into the house she lived in her whole life. Their family immediately began to grow
and their devotion to family, friends, community and the Lord began and was
unwavering. She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church and her
relationship with the Lord was paramount.
Mom’s zest for life was real, and she leaves an indelible mark on us, her 11
grandchildren, 21.5 great grandchildren, and so many friends and acquaintances. She
was just a good person; the type that could “have a conversation with a wrong number”.
A celebration of life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November
26 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 with service, procession and gathering at Peace
Lutheran to follow.
Mom, you are loved by so many, and you have left your mark on us. We know you have
been welcomed home by the Lord and are dancing with your parents, Dad, your brother
Jack, Daughter Jeanne, and so many relatives and friends. They are happy to see you
coming Home. We’ll miss the weekly phone calls, the notes on birthdays and
anniversaries, and your feisty personality, but your legacy will be carried on with all the
wonderful recipes, the Christmas ornaments you sent to the grandkids every year and
all the kind touches you made on our lives. “Naked and Afraid”, “Americas Funniest
Videos”, the Badgers and Packers, and your love for the birds and “chippies” all will last,
take on new meaning and give us so many fond memories!

Your children Tom, Julie (Fischer), Dan, Jim and Bill
