Arlene Barbara Ocker, age 89, passed away September 23, 2025, in De Pere Wisconsin, after battling dementia.
Arlene was born January 21, 1936, in Chicago, IL to Albert and Mildred Kukla. She lived the majority of her adult life in the Fifield/Park Falls area. She was married to Donald Ocker, who preceded her in death in 2021. Together they had two sons, Daniel and Jeffrey.
Arlene graduated from Fifield High School with honors. She was also a cheerleader. Her jobs included General Telephone Company in Park Falls as a secretary, Price County Zoning Administration as a secretary and later as the Deputy Zoning Administrator, and Ocker Construction as Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She had many interests, but her favorite pastimes were bowling, golfing, gardening, and her most recent passion of genealogy. Arlene always enjoyed pets, never being without a dog, cat, or both. She was a founding member of the Fifield Lioness Club and also devoted time as a Cub Scout den mother and Sunday school teacher at Fifield Congregational Church. She and Don were active members of Associated Flyers flying club and took many annual trips to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. She backed all of the Wisconsin sports teams, but her favorite by far was the Green Bay Packers. She always liked good times and family gatherings. She loved to see live music at any opportunity, including at her assisted living facility.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Sandy) of Green Bay and Jeffrey of Medford; two grandsons, Nathaniel (River) Ocker of De Pere and Jason Ocker of Madison; and one sister, Jeanine Williamson of Ishpeming, MI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Donald; and her brothers, Gary Kukla and Patrick Williams.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18 at Fifield Congregational Church. Interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield.
Thanks to the staffs of Aurora BayCare Hospital, Caraton Commons Assisted Living in De Pere, and Moments Hospice in Green Bay who kept her comfortable in her final days, and also the staff of Violet Meadows Assisted Living in De Pere where she lived the past year.
