Marian Ann Thimm, 96, Glidden

Marian Ann Thimm, age 96, of Glidden, died on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at Park Manor Nursing Home in
Park Falls. She was born on August 2, 1929, in Glidden, the daughter of William and Frieda
(Wallow) Zielke. Marian was a graduate of Glidden High School. After graduating Marian
worked as a nanny in Milwaukee for a time and then for The Quality Shop Grocery Store in
Glidden. On October 23, 1954 she married Robert Thimm. Marian enjoyed gardening, cooking
& baking, collecting recipes, handwork like embroidery and rug making, fishing, berry picking,
and cutting boughs with her husband. She most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Allen (Debbie) Thimm of Glidden, Gary (Jan) Thimm of Park
Falls, and Kathy (Tom) Bay of Park Falls, (6)grandchildren: Tiffany (Matt) Palecek, Ryan Thimm,
Brandon (Sammi) Bay, Dillon (Asia) Bay, Dustin (Tayler) Bay, and Anna Thimm, (9)great-
grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her brothers: Vernon, Norman, and infant Irvin
Zielke, and sisters: Gertrude Ludwig and Mabel Monty.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glidden on Friday September 19,
2025, at 11:00am. Rev. Kenneth Lahners will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Glidden.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the hour of the service at the
church.
