Larry John Peters, age 85, of Park Falls, died on Thursday June 12, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 8, 1940, in Park Falls, the son of Reginald and Alice (Walker) Peterson. He was a graduate of Park Falls High School and worked for the Flambeau Paper Mill as a boiler operator and dam tender until his retirement. On October 20, 1962, he married Sandra Zielke, who preceded him in death in 2010. On May 10, 2017, he married Betty Jean Linsmeyer-Miesbauer. Larry founded the Equal Rights for Everyone and Protect Americans’ Rights and Resources organizations. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed trapping, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Park Falls, his two sons: Jeff (Tracy) Peterson of Park Falls and Eddie (Sara) Peterson of Eau Claire, (5)grandchildren: Alison, Spencer, Zach, Lauren, and Jacob, (3)great-grandchildren: Liam, Aleigha, and Jayce, his sister-in-law Kaye Peterson, (5)step-children: Donald (Stephanie) Miesbauer, Karen (Jim) Clark, Tim Miesbauer, Roger (Janet) Miesbauer, and Julie (Scott) Howard, (9)step-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Sandra, his infant twins Sandra and Larry, his sister Janice Schoch, and brother Roland Peterson.

Services will be held at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Minocqua on Saturday June 21, 2025, at 11:00am. Rev. Brian Liermann will officiate.
A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
