Press Release
Baraboo, WI: (April 15, 2025) – Adult hits radio station 99.7 MAX FM (WRPQ) has returned to downtown Baraboo. The move from 8th Avenue to the new location in the Weichert Great Day Building at 502 Oak Street was recently completed, and the station is now broadcasting live from its new home.
New morning personality and new MAX FM station manager Dave Grant can now be heard from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will host mornings with Dave and Emily weekdays from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. Jay Roberts will continue to host middays, Aaron Carreno will continue to host afternoons and Mace Michaels is joining MAX FM as the weekday night host. Kevin Kellogg will continue to host the Saturdays playing the 60’s and 70’s every Saturday morning. Dave and wife Wendy Grant host late night Sundays.
“We are thrilled to bring the MAX FM studios to the heart of the Baraboo’s downtown, right on the square in the old Wells Fargo building,” said Civic Media CEO Sage Weil. “With a community radio station like this one, there is no substitute for being physically located right in the center of everything, whether it is the Circus Parade, Spring and Fall Fair on the Square, Concerts on the square, or the Christmas parade.”
To celebrate the grand opening, an event is planned at the new studio on April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Baraboo Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a reception with food, tours, prizes (including Brewers club-level tickets), and more. On-air hosts Dave, Wendy, Aaron and more will be there to celebrate too, along with special guest Wisconsin Rep. Karen DeSanto (District 40).
This event is free to attend.
MAX FM plays pop and rock songs from the 80’s, 90’s and more. Listen on 99.7 FM in the Baraboo area, 103.7 FM in the Reedsburg area, or everywhere on the Civic Media App.
