Butternut Volleyball Tops Bayfield

Last night our lady Midgets Volleyball team traveled to Bayfield to take on the Trollers.

Action started out with JV losing 19-25 and coming back to win 26-24 & 15-8. Virginia Augustine lead in kills with 4 and Lindsey Kennedy had 3. Taylor Furtak lead in assists with 6 and Olivia Hamann had 4. Ace serve leaders were Taylor Furtak & Khloe Kennedy who each had 4, Olivia came in with 3. Started out slow as we sometimes do but when it came time they pulled it together to take the win.

Next up was the varsity and they won 25-13, 25-18 & 25-23. Leader for the night in kills was Kendra Pritzl with 9, Gianna Nahring & Lizzie Pritzl both had 5 a piece. Assists were lead by Lizzie with 14. Lizzie lead in ace serves with 6, Kendra added in 4 and Gianna had 3. All in all a win is a win even if it doesn’t look like it should. We had Olivia Hamann step off the bench and really helped out the varsity along with Taylor Furtak. Big advantage for the Midgets having a bench we can use at any moment. 

The Midgets conference record moves to 6-2 and 15-9 over all. The Midgets will travel to Gilman for a tournament on Saturday.
