Butternut Travels to Prentice For VB Invite

On Saturday the Lady Midgets traveled to Prentice for their tournament. The first game the Midgets took on Rib Lake. The Midgets lost 16-25 & 12-25. The ladies came out strong but couldn’t quite finish it out. Josie Wegner had 4 kills, Lizzie Pritzl lead in assist with 4,Gianna Nahring lead in digs with 12. 

The Midgets second game they took on Flambeau. The Midgets lost the first set 21-25, won the second set 25-15 and won the third set 15-13. The ladies fell short in the first set but rallied back to take the win. Kendra Pritzl, Gianna & Lizzie all had 3 kills a piece. Gianna lead in assists with 7.

The third game was against Flambeau again and the Midgets won 25-22 & 25-14. Gianna & Taylor Furtak lead in kills with 2 a piece, Gianna lead in assists with 4, Josie lead in ace serves with 4. The ladies came out firing and the wins came for them because of it.

The fourth and final game the Midgets took on Mellen losing 16-25 & 20-25. It was a tough loss for the ladies but they will wipe the loss and come back stronger. Taylor & Lizzie both lead with kills with 2 each. Gianna led in assists with 4, Kendra lead with 3 ace serves. 

This week the Midgets will start out their conference play, hosting Hurley on Thursday .
