Butternut hosted Mercer in what was expected to be a tough battle. The Tigers came to play and the Midgets had to work for everything they got. Butternut led 25-15 at half, pushed its biggest lead to 17 and then held on for a 47-38 hard fought win.
Jersey Polencheck led all scorers with 20 points, 9 assists. Kendra Pritzl with 12 points, 14 rebounds. Caitlyn Bebeau with 9 points, 9 rebounds.

Butternut improves to 10-3 in conference and 14-4 overall. They will host conference leading South Shore on Thursday.
