GREEN BAY, Wis. – Civic Media is pleased to announce the launch of “Rational Revolution” on August 3rd, airing weekly Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on WGBW 97.9 FM, The Talk of Green Bay, and WISS 98.3 FM, Oshkosh Air Support.  Rational Revolution is hosted by Kristin Alfheim and Emily Tseffos, and will focus on building a civilized dialogue within the community on political and social issues from different perspectives.

Alfheim grew up on a Wisconsin beef farm and has been a nationally recognized leader in the Financial Services industry since beginning in 1999 teaching and managing advisors. She’s also a member of the Appleton City Council.

“The people of the Fox Valley are craving rational conversations about topics that affect their families,” said Alfheim. “No yelling, no belittling, just discussions in order to build understanding and empathy on issues.”

Tseffos is a native of Slinger, Wisconsin who’s dedicated her life to being an organizer and educator both here and abroad.  She was inspired to become politically active in 2015, while living in Tennessee where she worked to move women’s rights forward at both the local and national level. Upon returning to Wisconsin, she jumped into advocacy work focusing on children in need and resides in rural Outagamie County.

“Too often politics today is performative, distilled into clickbait headlines and sound bites,” said Tseffos.  “Wisconsinites deserve better. Join us as we break down issues piece by piece, discussing the sometimes-well-intentioned visions of legislation in Madison and Washington and the real-life impacts of legislation for our communities.”

Like all Civic Media talk shows, Rational Revolution will also be available as a podcast, both at civicmedia.us and on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and wherever you get your podcasts.

Civic Media is dedicated to providing quality broadcast and digital hometown radio with a focus on local, regional, and state issues, covering the stories that are most relevant to the communities we serve. We believe radio plays a crucial role in our local communities, so we strive to provide programming that advances the understanding and engagement of our audience.
