Anthony “Tony” Miller Jr., 92, Butternut

Anthony “Tony” J. Miller Jr., age 92, of Butternut, passed away at Rivers Edge Rehabilitation Center in Park Falls on January 28, 2021.  Tony was born on June 10, 1928 in Park Falls to Anthony Sr. and Anna (Furtak) Miller.  On September 20, 1952 he was married to the love of his life, Janet Donner and they spent 68 happy years together.  Tony was a self employed logger and spent 17 years working for Koshak Construction as a heavy equipment operator during the summer.  He retired from logging in 1990 when he sold his business to his sons Terry and Randy.  Tony loved to hunt & fish, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their cabin on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage.  He was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

 

He is survived by:

his wife Janet of Butternut,

Terry (Diane) Miller of Butternut.

Randy (Dana) Miller of Butternut.

Jill (Scott) Bruehahn of Mount Horeb.

(2)granddaughters:

Nicole Weik and Jenna Wood.

(4)grandsons: Ryan Miller, Jamey Miller, Kyle Wood, and Trevor Bruehahn.

(10)great-grandchildren.

his sister Mary Jane Peterson of Mora, MN.

his sister-in-law Nancy Miller of Park Falls.

and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Orvid and Inez Donner, his brother Edward Miller, sisters Florence Bucheger,  Stella Bucheger, Anna Volzka, & Jean Reas, and brother-in-law Paul “Punk” Donner.

 

A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut on Saturday February 6, 2021 at 10:00am.  Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara and Deacon Bob Scheinebeck will co-officiate.

 

A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
