The Richland Hospital & Clinics’ DAISY Award nominations highlight the lasting impact of compassionate care.

The DAISY Award is an international honor recognizing extraordinary nurses for their clinical excellence and compassionate care, and is part of a global program that honors the meaningful and compassionate care nurses provide every day.

Ashley Klingaman, RN, was the latest recipient, with multiple patient and family nominations noting her profound impact, including one testimonial stating, ‘she saved a life.’

All 10 nominations received this year came directly from patients or their families.

The nominees included Shade Thompson, Jodi Clarson, Maria Riley, Beth Delagrave, Courtney Johnson, Nate Humphreys-Loving, Kami Marshall, Elizabeth Sutherland, and Christina Landis.

Beth Delagrave was described as someone ‘born for this job,’ and Jodi Clarson was noted for ‘settling nerves in the face of a scary procedure.’
