Mineral Point wrestler named All-American

Dealya Collins placed 8th. That finish was good enough for Dealya to be named to the All-American team, for a second time in her wrestling career.

FARGO, SD / MINERAL POINT, WI (WRCO / WRCE) – Mineral Point’s Dealya Collins placed 8th in the recent Junior Girls Freestyle Nationals Wrestling Tournament. That finish was good enough for Dealya to be named to the All-American team, for a second time in her wrestling career. The tournament was held in Fargo, ND earlier in July.

Wisconsin had 13 young woman receive All-American recognition:

16U Women’s Freestyle
CHAMPION at 140 – Harlow Skenandore (Pulaski)
4th place at 120 – Daelin Cody (Princeton)
4th place at 145 – Layla Risler (Mondovi Eleva-Strum)
6th place at 110 – Cora Stewart (Grafton)
6th place at 207 – Autumn King (Howard)
6th place at 95 – Cassidy O’Connell (Fall Creek)
7th place at 135 – Erika Sleznikow (Marshfield)

Junior Women’s Freestyle
3rd place at 115 – Taylor Whiting (Lena)
3rd place at 190 – Brooke Huffman (Galloway)
5th place at 125 – Madi Peach (Milton)
5th place at 140 – Riley Hanrahan (Black River Falls)
7th place at 135 – Lillie Banks (Menasha)
8th place at 135 – Dealya Collins (Mineral Point)

The 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals were held at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D., July 10-19, with competition in men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle.
