GREEN LAKE, Wis (WRPN / WAUH) – Police in Green Lake have released more details about the death of a 12-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
John “Emmet” Zudrow was riding his bicycle with two family friends on the sidewalk on the north side of Hill Street. Eighty-five-year-old Jean Woolley of Germantown was trying to angle-park along the north side of Hill Street. Her vehicle went over the curb, striking Zudrow.
The boy was trapped underneath Woolley’s vehicle. He suffered severe injuries. He was taken to Ripon Community Hospital, where he died.
The crash is being investigated by the Green Lake Police Department and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the Wisconsin State Patrol Reconstruction Team.
Green Lake Ambulance, Green Lake First Responders, and the Green Lake Fire Department also responded to the accident scene.
