Platteville won a girls conference game against Richland Center

The host Hornets fell 69-26 at home as the Hillmen improved to 11-1 and 4-0 in the SWC.

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Platteville won a conference game against Richland Center on Thursday night.  The host Hornets fell 69-26 at home as the Hillmen improved to 11-1 and 4-0 in the SWC.  Richland Center was down 43-15 at halftime.  Platteville continued to build the lead and was able to get the 40 point mercy rule continuous clock going with 9 minutes left.

Two Platteville players scored 21 points.  Avery Richard and Rhianna Dye led the way for the visitors. The team made 5 three pointers and went 7 for 13 from the line.

Richland Center was led by Ella Weiss with 6, Addie Board, Jaycee Gander, and Regan Schoepp each scored 5, Kylie Burns totaled 4, and Carly Meiden had 2 points.  The Hornets were 12 for 23 at the free throw line.

The JV1 game was also won by Platteville, 42-22, over the Hornets.

The next two games for Platteville will be tough games next week as they will face Darlington in a non-conference game and than show down with Prairie du Chien next Friday night. Following the 69-26 loss, Richland Center will continue to search for that first win next Friday night when they host River Valley.
