Ronald John Hoefferle
age 79, of Park Falls, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home, with his wife by
his side. He was born on February 6, 1947, in Park Falls, the son of Rudolph and Margaret
(Koller) Hoefferle. Ronald graduated from Park Falls High School in 1965 and enlisted in the
United States Air Force, serving his country for four years. He later joined the Park Falls
American Legion Post 182, serving as Commander for two terms. On September 26, 1970, he
married his best friend, Marie Wohlleben in Park Falls. Ron worked throughout his life at the
paper mill and as an electrician, as well as owning an excavation business and other trades. He
was a hard worker and a true jack-of-all-trades who could fix just about anything. Ronald
enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling trips, and spending time outdoors. He was active in his
community and a member of several area sportsmen’s organizations, including the Flambeau
Area Sportsman’s Club, and Whitetails Unlimited. He especially enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren, whether giving advice, teaching them to fish and hunt, traveling all over the state
to watch their activities and simply being together. Ron loved animals and will be remembered
for being stubborn, goofy, caring, and always willing to lend a hand.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie; two daughters: Marie (Dan) Lee of Park Falls and
Sandy (Dave) LaViolette of Ripon; six grandchildren: Rachel (Dylan) Abernathy, Ben (Isabella)

Dewey Lee; two siblings: Rudy (Lucy) Hoefferle of Missouri and Nancy Moller of Park Falls;
