Edward Arthur Tank, 82, Butternut

Edward Arthur Tank, age 82, of Butternut, passed away on Friday August 21, 2026, at Theda Care Regional Medical
Center in Appleton. He was born on May 12, 1944, in Butternut, the son of Otto and Margaret
(Hoffman) Tank. He attended the Butternut Public School and then entered the United States
Navy, serving from 1962 until 1965. After serving his country he moved to Kenosha and was
employed at J.I. Case in Racine until his retirement. He resided in Butternut for most of his
retirement years.
He is survived by one sister, Carol Billing of Park Falls, two brothers: Otto (Shelley) Tank of Park
Falls and Robert Tank of Butternut, two sisters-in-law: Arlene Tank of Glidden and Sherry Tank
of Butternut, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his
sisters Patricia Lobermeier and Marlene Setterman, his brothers: William, Richard, and Ronald
Tank, his nephews Brian Billing and Dale Setterman, and brothers-in-law: Lawrence Billing and
Lawrence Setterman.
Funeral services will be held at Birch Street Funeral Service chapel in Park Falls on Saturday
August 29, 2026, at 11:00am. Deacon Robert Scheinebeck will officiate.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Butternut with military honors under the auspices of the
Butternut American Legion Post.
A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00am until the hour of the
service.
