Nancy Lee Dippel, 83, Park Falls

Nancy Lee Dippel
age 83, of Park Falls, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday August 18, 2026, at
Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.  She was born on February 26, 1943, in Butternut, the
daughter of William and Ella (Scherwinski) Wartgow.  She was raised in Butternut and attended
Butternut School.  Nancy lived in the Milwaukee area for a time before returning to Butternut
where she worked on the dairy farm with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and
homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. On March 29, 2008, she married
Clement Dippel in Park Falls.  She then lived in Manitowish Waters and Park Falls. She
worked as a CNA in the Park Falls area.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Clem,
visiting Africa, Italy, and France among other places.  Nancy enjoyed fishing with Clem and was
well known in the fishing industry.  She was a very kind and fun-loving person and very much
adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed.
 
She is survived by her husband Clem of Park Falls, eight children: Mark (Barb) Linsmeyer of
Mayville, David (Sandy) Linsmeyer of Mauston, Barb Ochs of Schofield, Joy (Bob) Weinberger
of Butternut, Lisa (Chuck) Woelfel of Wausau, Daniel (Lori) Linsmeyer of Rhinelander, Deborah
Linsmeyer of New Berlin, and William Dippel of Rhinelander, 19 grandchildren, 24 great-
grandchildren, her sister Carol Bruch of Brookfield, her brother Don (Arlene) Wartgow of Ft.
Atkinson, her sister-in-law Jeanie Wartgow of Columbus and many nieces, nephews, and other
relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ella Wartgow and
three brothers: William, Roger, and Wayne Wartgow.
 
A Funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut on
Monday August 24, 2026, at 11:00am.  Deacon Robert Schienebeck will officiate.
 
Interment will follow at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Butternut.
 
A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
