Vincent Leonard Strobl, age 89, of Catawba, died peacefully on Sunday July 26, 2026, one day before his 90th birthday,
at MMC-Marshfield. He was born on July 27, 1936, in Hawkins, the son of Joseph and Kathryn
(Benny) Strobl. His early life and schooling were in Kennan. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and
was stationed in Colorado and later in Germany, where he managed the motor pool. When he
returned from the Army he went to work in Milwaukee, where he met his future wife, Juanita
Carrell. They married in 1958 and together they raised three children. Vincent obtained his

local drivers and spending time with family and friends, especially at the racetrack. In later
years, he was known for his lawnmowing expertise and his daily drives around Catawba and
Kennan. He spent his last year at VitaCare Living in Ladysmith where he will be remembered for
his love of Mountain Dew and ice cream.
