Eleanore “Polly” Dvorak, age 90 ½ passed away on Sunday, August 3rd at Aspirus Regency House in Phillips, WI. Polly was born January 20, 1935 in Brantwood, WI the daughter of Rueben and Ellen (nee Kelland) Hauta. Polly attended Brantwood Elementary and Tripoli High School and studied 1 year at Minneapolis Business School. Louie and Polly were owners and operators of Crystal Café and Polly’s Gift shop. She also worked at “Lake of the Torches Casino” in Lac du Flambeau.

Polly enjoyed decorating silk flower arrangements, casino visits, watching TV and loved listening to Daniel O’Donnell (an Irish singer) and polka music.

She is survived by her children Debra (Kirk) Lewitzke of Wausau, WI; Kim (Gillis) Gabay of Phillips, WI; Ginny Kundinger of Park Falls, WI and Joan Dvorak of Eagle River, WI further survived by 9 grandchildren Ryan Havlovic, Nykki Williams, Alisha Dean, Beau Stahnke, Tom Stahnke, Amanda Darst, Angela Morrison, Trapper Liebl and Sadi Gabay and by 11 great grandchildren Louis and Anne Dean, Makala, Alie and Raelee Williams, Finley and Bennett Havlovic, Grayden and Kaine Morrison,  Peyton Waltenberg and Harper Anderson and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband Louis on January 31, 2017 and by her son in law, Wayne Kundinger.

Upon her wishes cremation took place and private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dvorak family scholarship fund that was set up in 2017 to help graduating students toward future education.
