Dolores Marlenga, 93, Phillips

Dolores Marlenga, age 93, a resident of Phillips, WI, passed away Saturday, May 10,
2025, at Aspirus Regency in Phillips. She was born July 8 , 1931, in Phillips, WI, to
parents Laddie and Ann (Radovich) Baumruk.
She graduated from Phillips High School in 1950. She married Frank Marlenga on
September 2, 1950. Together they owned and operated a farm in the Town of Emery.
They loved to dance, and Dolores enjoyed painting, crafting, and cooking for her family.
The time she spent with them meant the most to her, and she always sent them away
with food. She worked in the kitchen for many years for Czech Fest. After her kids left
home she worked as a cook at Phillips High School for many years. Dolores was a
founding member of East Highland Homemakers, enjoying many years of get togethers
with the ladies.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Frank; her parents: brother
and sister-in-law: Deacon Roy and Virginia Baumruk; granddaughter: Shelley Marlenga;
many other relatives. She is survived by her children: Diane (Mark) Metz, Dan (Patty)
Marlenga, Jim Marlenga; grandchildren: Amy (Ed) Pogue, Jodi (Lance) Leu, Travis
(Melissa) Metz, Heidi (Steve) Eisner, Peter (Anne) Marlenga; great grandchildren:
Hunter and Logan Pogue, Hailey and Dylan Leu, Allison and Emily Metz, Ethan and
Kate Eisner, Eloise, Leo, and Olive Marlenga; sister-in-law: Kay Marlenga; special
friend: Laurie Zondlo; as well as many other cherished family and friends.
We would like to thank Aspirus Regency for the compassionate care they gave Dolores
while she lived there.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at St. Therese of
Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips, WI, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am
until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in
Phillips, WI.
