Mark James Eineichner, age 46, of Waupaca, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday March 4, 2025.  He was born on July 13, 1978 in Woodruff, the son of Peter and Vicki (Svehla) Eineichner.  His early life and schooling were in Park Falls.   After graduation he moved to Superior and attended college for one year.  He later obtained his welding and pipefitter certifications and Journeyman license.  In June of 2009 he married Tara Brown and later divorced.

If you had the good fortune to know Mark, you know that his presence brought a story, likely several, laughter and a good time. And, Mark probably helped you tackle a project or helped you in some way, as he was happy to help and equal to any task. From the earliest days, Mark was a generous soul that was always on the move. Anyone lucky to call Mark a neighbor not only benefited from his generosity and excellent cooking but his passion for music, listening to it, dancing to it and playing it loudly. Mark was an outstanding percussionist and he played his drum kit like he lived his life, with passion and vigor. Mark’s life was a tapestry woven in activity and joy with friends and family, fishing, hunting, playing cards, stoking a fire, cutting wood, welding and fabricating, attending concerts, cooking and sharing a meal or a beverage. All of these things were derived from and honored the legacy of those who came before him. Mark’s legacy includes passing on his joy of life, generous spirit and willingness to help a friend to those he loved most, his children.

He is survived by his four children; Seth Steiner of Wausau, Ava, Saxon, Astrid Eineichner of Glenview, IL, his mother and stepfather Vicki (Don) Franke of Park Falls, sister Mindi (Laura) Eineichner of Waukesha, Stepsiblings; Todd (Kathy) Franke of Park Falls, and Nancy Franke of Dodgeville, and by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father and infant son Ian.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday March 15, 2025, at Birch Street Funeral Service Chapel in Park Falls.  Deacon Robert Schienebeck will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the hour of the service on Saturday March 15, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that each of you honor and celebrate Mark by sharing a story, or several, of your own with us. In this way, Mark’s stories live on and while he can no longer tell them, his children will be able to read them. Please send your stories (and any photos) to [email protected]

Birch Street Funeral Service is assisting the family.
