It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Margret Schmidt (Eder) age 79, who passed away in her home on February 13th. Diane was the widower of Norbert B Schmidt whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born September 12th 1945 in Glidden WI, Diane was the daughter of Peter and Katherine Eder. She graduated from Glidden High School.
Her life was deeply centered around her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was a member of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church of Glidden where she served as a secretary for many years. Diane enjoyed quilting and needlepoint among many other homemaker crafts.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Rebecca A (Keith Dougherty) Schmidt. Her Grandchildren, Bryce (Desirae) Wiemeri, Braydon (Sarah) Wiemeri and Breanna (Tim Peck) Huhn. Her great grandchildren Ashli, Landon, Wynstyn, Wyllyam, Wylder, Loretta, and Sawyer. Her brother Mark (Jessie) Eder. Her niece Shelby Eder. And her lifelong friend Dianne Fleury.
She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Katherine Eder. Her husband Norbert B Schmidt. Her brother Kenny “Moli” Eder. And her son Kevin B “Schmidty” Schmidt.
Diane will be greatly missed, but her legacy, faith, and service will live in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Glidden on Saturday February 22, 2025 at 11:00am. Fr. Sunder Rddy will officiate.
A visitation will be held on Saturday February 22, 2025 at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
Burial will take place at Most Precious Blood Cemetery in the spring.
