The Stratford Tigers jumped out to a commanding 30-8 halftime lead, and went on to a 50-34 victory over the Chequamegon Screamin’ Eagles in boys basketball Friday night.
The Tigers held the Eagles top scorer, Cooper Michalski, to just 2 points in the 1st half. Michalski came alive int eh 2nd half, finishing the game with 19 points.
“We played very hard in the second half last night. Our boys gave great effort on the defensive end of the floor in the second half. I’m proud of our boys for never giving up and coming together as a team last night.”, commented Chequamegon Coach Thomas Tollakson after the game.
