Duane “Buzzy” Mark Linsmeyer, age 64, of Butternut, died on Sunday January 12, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born November 8, 1960, the son of John and Gertrude (Scherwinski) Linsmeyer. Buzzy
graduated from Butternut High School in 1979, and remained a lifetime resident of the area. He
spent a majority of his life driving truck, cross-country and locally. He was a true Northwoods
man who loved camping with family, hunting, and fishing. Buzzy had a contagious laugh, great
sense of humor and always told the best jokes. Most of all, he loved being with his family and
friends. He taught us that life’s journey should be filled with hard-work, and plenty of laughter.
He is survived by his three children; Jacob (Tracy) Linsmeyer, Tyler McKuen, Adrienne
(Joseph) Edin, his life partner Patty, (7)grandchildren, (8)siblings; James (Pearl), Gene (Judy),
Diane (Terry) Miller, Kathy (Robert) Gustafson, Michael, Ronald (Donna), Patti (Gregg)
Gilhausen, Donna (Darren) Weik. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter
Angelica, his first wife Marie, and brother Dale.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Butternut. Rev. John Deitz will officiate.
A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday January 25, 2025 from 10:00am until the hour
