Washburn Edges Butternut Girls

The Butternut girls traveled to Washburn on Friday for a conference matchup. The Midgets had a tough task playing shorthanded on back to back nights. For most of the game they were up to the challenge. Butternut played hard, but not enough execution on the offensive end. Tied at 31 later in the second half, they ran out of gas and the Castle Gaurds pulled away for a 44-37 win.
Izzy Przybylski and Kendra Pritzl paced the Midgets with 13 points each. Gianna Nahring with 9.
Butternut falls to (3-4, 5-6) and will have another tough week ahead of them with 3 more road games, travelling to Prentice on Monday, Bayfield on Tuesday and Drummond on Friday.
