Patrick A. Campbell, 99, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024.
Pat Campbell was born on October 23, 1925 in Rice Lake, WI to Mary (Kundinger) Campbell of
Park Falls, WI and Joseph Campbell of Dundalk, Ireland.
In 1935, the family moved back to Park Falls where Pat and his siblings attended St. Anthony’s
Grade School and Park Falls Lincoln High School. After graduation in 1943 at age 18, Pat enlisted
in the US Army Air Corp. During World War II he served as a High Speed Radio and Control
Tower Operator, attaining the rank of Sargent, with postings in the Azores and in France.
After military service, Pat attended the University of Wisconsin, Superior on the GI Bill.
Returning to Park Falls, Pat was employed at the Butternut Veneer Mill and rose to become
General Manager. In 1950, Pat married Martha Salo in Park Falls. A native of Superior, Marty
was a science teacher at Lincoln High School. Marty and Pat raised 10 children and were
involved in numerous civic, social, church and school organizations in Park Falls.
In 1971, the family moved to Mundelein, IL where Pat was employed in sales management in
the building products industry. In 1976 the family relocated to Green Bay where Pat was
employed as a regional sales manager for Certainteed Corporation until his retirement.
Pat was an avid reader, golfer, poker and bridge player and sports fan. Family was always a top
priority. Marty and Pat enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Destin, FL. Travels included
vacations to Europe, cruises and frequent trips visiting children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Marty and Pat were exceptional dancers and always the highlight of family
celebrations.
Pat is survived by his 10 children: Kathleen (Jim) Isham, Waunakee, WI; Joseph (Gail) Campbell,
Madison, WI; Dennis Campbell, Wausau, WI; Theresa Campbell, Madison, WI; Vicki (Martin)
Marek, Chicago, IL; Tim (Barbara) Campbell, Oak Creek, WI; Laura Campbell, Chicago, IL; Connie
(Jim) Jordan, Green Bay; Mike (Jenny) Campbell, Libertyville, IL; and Tom (Nancy) Campbell,
Mundelein, IL; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister
Mary Jo Koshak, Park Falls, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Marty; his parents; his sister Roseanne
Campbell; brother Sylvester Campbell; brother Cletus Campbell; and brother Jake Campbell.
A celebration of the remarkable life of Pat Campbell will be held at a later date to be
announced.
