Archie Harvey Hill Jr. age 75 of Glidden, passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 27, 2024.  He was born April 6, 1949 in Park Falls, the son of Archie Sr. and Mabel (Crum) Hill.  After High School he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.  Later he was a member of the VFW Honor Guard.  On July 6, 1968, he married Sally Krucky and together they had three children and shared 56 happy years together.  They lived in Marshfield for seven years, Phillips for twenty years, and then settled in Glidden.  Archie was a hardworking man with a heart for giving.  He worked as a welder, police officer, YCC crew supervisor, security guard, cranberry harvester, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. If he wasn’t working, he was mentoring youth as a Boy Scout leader, hunter safety instructor, and on the YCC crew.  He loved spending time with the kids sharing his wealth of knowledge.  He was a family man who enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and ice fishing.  He had a passion for motorcycles and taking his wife for rides on their Harley.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sally Hill of Glidden, their three children; Harvey (Lisa Leinwander) Hill of Marshfield, Paul (Nickie) Hill of Minneapolis, Rachel (Scott) Coe of Phoenix, two grandchildren; Addison and Zane Hill of Marshfield, by his mother-in-law Helen Krucky, and by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lena Hill-Wright and Letha Hill-Spear and father-in-law James Krucky.  

A memorial service with military honors will be announced at a later date.
