Ralph” Babe” Eugene Nehls Jr, age 93, of Prentice, Wisconsin, instead of heading
off to the Deer Stand, went home to be with the Lord on November 23,2024.
Ralph was born April 14, 1931 in Phillips Wi to the late Ralph & Anna
(Kolari)Nehls. He was the younger brother to Arlene (Litvinoff) Nehls. After
graduating from Prentice High School, he married his High School Sweetheart
Betty (Jones) Nehls on November 18th,1950. Ralph was a loving dedicated
husband and father of 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2
great-great Grandchildren.
Ralph loved the Lord which was shown with his love for people. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Prentice where he forged great
friendships. He loved spending time with his family and his many community
friends. He worked for 35 years as a Hydraulic Technician building Prentice
Loaders while simultaneously working at Ruebens Sales & Service. He also
served with the Prentice Volunteer Fire Dept for 35 years. He enjoyed the

outdoors with fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, gardening, trips to the casino, and
many camping trips with his family & good friends Arnie & Jean Mayer. As a
grandpa, Ralph was always excited for birthday parties, weddings, sporting
events, graduations, and any other opportunity for a family celebration.
Ralph is survived by children Ken (Barbara VanSlate) of
Winter, Tom of Pewaukee, Barbara (Rick) Starck of Hendersen NV, and Steve
(Julie) of Hartland. Grandchildren Cory (Tracey), Emily (Tim) Martens, Ryan,
Jake, Sarah (Dane)Vance, John, David, & Josh in addition to his great
grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces.
A Celebration of Life for Ralph will be held at First Baptist Church of Prentice on
December 10, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the First Baptist Church of Prentice.
*Visitation 10:00—11:00 a.m.
*Service at 11:00 a.m. followed by fellowship & luncheon at 12:00 p.m.
