Evelyn June Kerfoot, age 76, of Glidden, died on Thursday November 21, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on June 4, 1948, in Butternut, the daughter of Howard and Adalia (Tank) Tesch. Her early life and schooling were in Butternut where she graduated from high school. In January of 1967 she married Ronald Kerfoot Sr. in Noblesville, IN. The couple lived in Indiana, where Evelyn worked as a Med Tech, until returning to the Butternut area in 1984. She worked at the Butternut Veneer Mill and Dollar General in Park Falls. Evelyn enjoyed casinos, puzzles, drawing, and most of all spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her (5)children: Ron (Angela) Kerfoot Jr. of Glidden, Wayne (Kari) Kerfoot of Park Falls, Rena (Bill) Prochnow of Glidden, Janine (Edward) Schuelke of Butternut, and Keith (Winter) Kerfoot of Glidden, (15)grandchildren, (12)great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter, her siblings: Betty Whittling, Sally Jean (Phillip) Pickett, Helen Tank, Myles (Heather) Tesch, and Howard (Barb) Tesch. She is also survived by her special friend Greg Hanson, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald, her infant granddaughter Frankie, her siblings: Frank Tesch Sr., Alvin Tesch, Judy Richter, Charlotte Tesch, Mary Altman, and Carol Cheesman.
Funeral services will be held at the Birch Street Funeral Service Chapel on Tuesday November 26, 2024, at 11:00am. Rev. Brock Brandenburg will officiate.
Burial will follow at Butternut Union Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
