Thomas A. Smith, age 84, of Park Falls, died on Monday October 21, 2024, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.  He was born on June 21, 1940, the son of Earl and Isabelle (Kronberger) Smith.  After graduating from the Park Falls High School, Tom served his country in the United States Army.  On July 6, 1961, he married his one true love, Annelies Winkler in Germany.  Tom worked as a mechanic for Vincent & Vincent Auto and while working for the Flambeau Paper Mill until his retirement, he owned and operated a TV and radio repair business.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, woodworking, gardening, fixing anything and everything, but he most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Annelies of Park Falls, (6)children: Susan (Jeffrey) Koshak of Park Falls, John (Michelle) Smith of Park Falls, Pete (Karrie) Smith of Park Falls, Jim (Tina) Smith of Neenah, Andrea Simmons of Sherwood, and Lisa (Steve) Schiedemeyer of Oshkosh, (17)grandchildren: Susanna, Charles, Daniel, & Charlotte, Alison & Mallory, Brandon & Kiana, Cody, Austin, & Brielle, Tyler & Theodore, and Angelia, Katrina, Jarrett, & Bellina, (10)great-grandchildren, (2)sisters: Marie (Chet) Ball of Park Falls, and Joan (Allen) Anderson of Phillips, his sister-in-law Jutta Gruber of Munich, Germany, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Francis.

A memorial service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Park Falls on Tuesday October 29, 2024, at 11:00am.  Deacon Chet Ball will officiate.

A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.

Military honors will follow under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion Post.

Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.

In lieu of flowers, any gift of money will be used to offset medical expenses.

Birch Street Funeral Service is assisting the family.
