Raymond “Sonny” Frank Trimble, age 65, of Butternut, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday October 15, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1958, in Libertyville, IL, the son of Robert and Maryann (Raabe) Trimble. His early life and schooling were in Illinois. After graduating high school, he moved to Butternut. On June 19, 1982, he married Laurita Esberner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut. Ray worked for a time at Ashland Timber Company in the early 1980s, before owning and operating Mercer Disposal. After the sale of his business, he worked for Waste Management until his retirement. Ray loved fishing, hunting, especially turkey hunting, playing pool, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Laurie of Butternut, his daughter Krissy (Nikki) Trimble of Park Falls, his brother Bob (Kathy) Trimble of Loyal, sisters: Jill Cook of Lima, Ohio, Mary Lisa McNellage of Spicewood, Texas, and Sharon (Clint) Hargrave of Gilbert, Arizona, and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janet Nabozny and brother Jeff Trimble, as well as his dogs Sonny Mickey and Willy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut on Saturday October 26, 2024, at 11:00am. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara will officiate.
A visitation will be held on Friday October 25 at the church from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a prayer vigil at 7:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
Interment will take place at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Butternut.
