
Robert Heimerl, 79, of Brantwood was called home by our Lord on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was the son of Sylvester and Lydia (Schneider) Heimerl born on December 17, 1944.
Bob worked for three different railroads throughout his career as a traveling Railroad Mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, working in his shop, and helping others. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, proudly serving as a Fourth Degree Knight. Bob was a member of the Honorable W. Patrick Donlin Fourth Degree Assembly #1205 of Park Falls and the Fr. John Patrick Slowey Council #2963 in Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandi; brothers, Frank (Gay), Leonard (Judy), Alfred (Lenae), Jerome, Roman, Bernie (Diane); sisters, Marilyn Habersetzer, Jeanette (Kenny) Mueller, Janice; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loretta Meyer; and two sisters-in- law, Nancy Ross and Linda Wolff.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Church, 935 Town Street, Prentice, WI, 54556. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. and will continue until the start of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to either Hope Hospice, 537 W. Broadway Ave, Medford, WI 54451 or to St John the Baptist Church in Prentice would be appreciated. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
