Pauline Rae “Snooks” Kempf, age 75, of Glidden, died unexpectedly on Sunday September 8, 2024 in her home. She was born July 29, 1949, the daughter of Raymond and Lucille “Sis” (Griffith) Pankratz. She graduated from Glidden High School in 1967, and went on to earn her associate’s degree in accounting. She had her son Timothy in 1970. She met the love of her life, Richard in Oshkosh, WI in 1988. They shared 36 wonderful years together. Together they moved back to Glidden, WI in 2010. Pauline was a caring woman who worked most of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant, but also in childcare, bookkeeping, and bartending. She enjoyed spending her summer months in the garden and canning her harvest. She had exceptional sewing, knitting, and crocheting skills and always enjoyed gifting her beautiful projects to those she cared about. Over the years she and Richard spent a lot of time hunting at the cabin, fishing, and traveling out west. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and sharing her vast knowledge of the family heritage. She was a member of the Glidden VFW auxiliary.

her sister-in-law: Pat Zimmermann of Glidden
her niece & nephews: Emma (Jacob) Schneidewnt (Pankratz) of Cadott, WI, August “Gus” Pankratz of Glidden and Jim (Andrea) Peotter of Wauzeka, WI
And by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lucille and brother Gary “Shakey” Pankratz.
Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Glidden at a later date.
