Tonight the lady Midgets took on the Hurley Northstars for their conference opener. Action started out with the JV with Butternut pulling away with the first set win 25-21, losing the second set in a nail bitter 28-30 and losing the third set 14-25. Virginia Augustine lead the night with 5 kills, Olivia Hamann lead with 5 assists and Kaylee Schloer lead with 3 ace serves. All in all these ladies played some good volleyball but lost their momentum in the third set.
The Midgets Varsity came away with the win tonight, losing the first set 19-25, and winning the next three 25-21, 25-19 & 25-21. These ladies played a very scrappy game of volleyball tonight. Couple of little things can always be worked on but it was a great night and it feels good to start conference play out with a win. Kendra Pritzl lead the night with 9 kills, Gianna Nahring lead in assists with 14, Josie Wegner & Lizzie Pritzl both had 4 ace serves along with Isabelle Przybylski, Kendra & Alli Lueloff who all added 3 each.
The Lady Midgets will travel to LCO on Monday, September 16.
