David William Zoesch, age 81, of Butternut died on Tuesday June 25, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls.  He was born on July 5, 1942, in Butternut, the son of Fred and Helen (Williams) Zoesch.  On August 12, 1962, he married Joanne Wendland.  David worked as a manager of the Midland Feed Mill in Butternut and retired working as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service.  He also worked as a lifelong logger and enjoyed hunting, operating heavy equipment & power saws, and was an avid reader.  He had a passion for playing Cribbage & Smear and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Joanne, (3)children: David (Sally) Zoesch of Park Falls, Randy (Cindi) Zoesch of Minocqua, and Terry (Jim) Bredahl of Butternut, (5)grandchildren, (6)great-grandchildren, his brother John (Jeanne) Zoesch of Park Falls, his sister Ruth (Harvey) Bilz of Phillips, sisters-in-law Beverly Sanville, Mary Zoesch, Bonnie Zoesch, and Elaine Zoesch and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends..  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Eugene, Paul, Fred, Bill, & Gary Zoesch, and sisters: Lois Stempinski, Anita Altman, Dorothy Ford, Lorraine Furtak, & Barbara Scherwinski.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Butternut on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at 11:00am.  Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate.

Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Butternut.

A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
