Sheridan Carl Schock, age 78, of Glidden, died on Wednesday June 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 20, 1945, in Park Falls, the son of Leonard and Gertrude (Lenzen) Schock. Sheridan was a lifelong resident of Glidden and worked for Northern Natural Pipeline and the Glidden Mill before working for the Town of Jacobs for over 40 years. He was also the sexton and gravedigger for both Mount Hope and Most Precious Blood Cemetery. On March 21, 1965, he married Shirley Schwilk. Sheridan was a self-taught mechanic, was an avid fan of the races and old country music, loved his dog “Jake”, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Glidden, his daughter Carla Schock of Appleton, his daughter-in-law Wendy Schock of Glidden, (3)sisters: Marilyn Sellers of Park Falls, Donna Slaugenhaupt of Hialeah, FL, & Joanne (Pat Morgan) Hall of Park Falls, (2)brothers: Jerry (Cathy) Schock of Park Falls & Lonnie (Abigail) Schock of Hudson, His brother-in-law Bob Polencheck of Ashland, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kevin, brothers James & Robert Schock, and his sister Beverly Polencheck.
At Sheridan’s request, no services will be held.
