Darlene Yvonne Roberts, age 85, of Park Falls, died on Friday May 24, 2024, at Naples Health and Rehabilitation Center in Naples, FL. She was born in Park Falls on January 26, 1939, the daughter of Mike and Edith (Halverson) Hecimovich. In 1958 she married Richard Roberts and together they raised three children. Darlene was an active member of the community who enjoyed helping others and practicing her faith. She was a founder of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church and responsible for organizing the community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner. In her free time she conducted fundraisers for the Timeout Woman’s shelter, Backpack for Kids, and the Layets for Infants. She also assisted in the cleanup after Hurricane Katrina and helped get washers and dryers to those most effected by the disaster. She was an avid antique collector, excellent cook, flower gardener, and Packer fan. She will be missed by all those she selflessly dedicated herself to helping.
She is survived by her (3)children; Michael (Nancy) Roberts of Park Falls, Dawn Roberts of Baraboo, Michelle (Josh) Taber of Naples, (13)grandchildren, and (10)great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
