Phillips Highlights:

On his way to a second place finish in the pole vault, Ben Virnig broke his own school record he set previously this year.  His previous vault was 13′ 3″;  Last night he vaulted 13′ 6″. Ben also scored team points in all 4 of the events he was entered in last night.

Gavin Esterholm was a two time conference champion last night (1600, 800).  He scored team points in all three events he was entered in last night.  Gavin also moved up in the Logger record books for the 1600; he is now in 4th place for the 1600 in the history of Phillips high school.

Senior Hayden Sokolowski had an excellent meet and scored team points in three events last night, including the 110 & 300 hurdles as he also set new personal best times in these events.

Junior Sarah Knaack and Sophomore Leah Harper scored team points in three events last night.  Both girls were in the 4×800 and 4×400 meter relays.  Leah finished second in the 800, Sarah was 6th in the 200 meter dash.

The girls 4×800 meter relay were conference champions last night.  Along with Sarah and Leah, Addie Gabay and Ruby McCormick  were the other half of this conference champion winning relay.
